The title here is a bit of a misnomer. While extensive as it can be, The Story of Civilization was never complete, The Durant couple died before its completion with 11 novels complete.
While not finished, The Story of Civilization is still something to admire. Tremendous effort was placed into each book. In today's Indian world, where ' Ancient Indian Civilization' is glorified, whether it really existed or not is a subject of examination.
